Ms Irene Moss - OzSAGE patron
Irene Moss AO had a very substantial career in public leadership including serving as Commissioner of the NSW Commission Against Corruption, NSW Ombudsman and Federal Race Discrimination Commissioner.
Irene’s past community contributions include Chairing The Sax Institute (a coalition of university and research groups focused on public health), Chairing The National Breast Cancer Centre, Board member of The Schizophrenia Research Institute, Chairing Australia’s Right to Know, Board member of the National Health Call Centre Network, Board member of The Special Broadcasting Services, Member of the Australian Government Solicitor’s Advisory Board, serving as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Sydney and as a Fellow of the Senate of the University of Sydney.
After attending State schools in the Western suburbs of Sydney, Irene graduated in Arts (majoring in Government) and in Law from the University of Sydney and from Harvard University (Master of Laws).
Honours awarded to Irene include Officer of the Order of Australia and Honorary Doctor of Laws from the University of New South Wales.
