Distinguished Professor Lidia Morawska named in Time’s annual 100 most influential people in the world

QUT’s Distinguished Professor Lidia Morawska, an international air quality expert, has been named in the 2021 TIME100, the annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world.

OzSAGE congratulates Distinguished Professor Lidia Morawska, a world renowned scientist, for being recognised in the Times100 list of the most influential people in the world.  Professor Morawska led the open letter to the WHO in July 2020, calling for recognition of airborne transmission of SARS-CoV-2. Through her advocacy, she influenced a major change of recommendations of the World Health Organization and many leading health agencies worldwide, to move to airborne precautions for prevention of SAR-CoV-2 transmission. She explains the science in her paper A paradigm shift to combat indoor respiratory infection. OzSAGE is fortunate to have her knowledge and expertise.
